An awakened being remains at peace, no matter what.
I just got off the phone with a woman who had a fender bender earlier in the day. She described how reactive she was to the young girl who accidentally hit her car. She may have missed out on a wonderful opportunity.
When we wake up to our spiritual nature, we learn there is more to every situation than the obvious. We don't react.
Many years ago, I knew of a young man who hit another car. No one got terribly upset. As the two men exchanged personal information, they discovered they were related, cousins they never met because of old family feuds.
It turned out that someone in the family was dying and a reunion was necessary to heal the riff that lasted years.
Nothing is ever as it appears. We can consider ourselves to be waking up when we open our minds to new perspectives, no matter how difficult the situation may seem to be.
Dreams can come true without knowing any of this. However, it happens because one is tenacious and pushes against the world at a constant rate to make it so.
Unfortunately, if their success does not eventually shift to an inner awareness (this stuff), then it runs the risk of crashing.
We have seen many great leaders in society fall into ruin by not making the shift.
These teachings are about another experience entirely. We become passionate about Love and sharing it with the unloving. We think more about others than ourselves, even when they are acting in ways that are disagreeable to us.
By so doing, our dreams come true and unlike the former example, these dreams are sustainable and grow to sizable proportions -- as long as a loving consciouness remains the goal.
The term is a metaphor for mind. It's origin can be traced to the Biblical Genesis.
"In the beginning...the earth (physical world) was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep (unconsciousness) and the Spirit hovered over the waters." (unexpressed possibilities)
"...let there be an expanse...to separate water from water." (states of mind)
"...the gathered waters were called seas."
Water represents consciousness that we govern with our thoughts. The sea is capable of manifestation but must first come under the dominion of the mind's power through imagination.
Imagination gathers the seas so that what is above is also below. (desire manifested)
Ask yourself what it is you desire. Can you genuinely imagine it to be possible?
???how can u tell if u r awake????

ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThat's an excellent question.

Doubt and fear block the seas from gathering.
