Summertime


It was the summer of 1970. I hadn't been this happy with a man in a very long time.  I felt adored, finally, after so many years of being alone.

 But at that party, the one by the water at Amelia's B&B...

Everything was taken away from me.

      It all began with a certain man and then ended with another.

      What went in between was Charles. I couldn't hold him any longer, once he found out about...

      And to think, it came from one of my students.

    Hi,

    The song -- it truly is beautiful but can also be so sad. Have you ever been in love?

    My first was when I was a silly, young girl. He broke my heart.

    Now Charles has a broken heart -- all I see lately is an endless stream of painful memories.
