Food For Thought

If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished?

All too often we think that everything in our world should be without friction and unhappiness, once we begin a spiritual journey.  Yet the opposite begins to happen.  What is that about?

The silversmith sits before the fire and never takes his eyes off the metal he holds in the hot flame.  He is waiting to see his image.  Once that happens, he knows the transformation is complete.

    1. Hi,

Very good indeed...there is a specific analogy to the silversmith and used in ancient scriptures.

It represents the Divine. Whatever that means to you, fill it in for the silversmith and take notice of how protected and loved it makes you feel.

      That's your Reality!

    1. Hi,

Transformation is when we finally see the "Divinity" in ourselves.

A recent article was written about a medical doctor who had a near death experience from a coma. Among the many things he remembered were the following:

      1. "You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever."
      2. "You have nothing to fear."
      3. "There is nothing you can do wrong."
      (Newsweek, October 15, 2012)

When we believe that about ourselves, we are liberated, transformed, joyous.

    1. Hi,

If this was a telephone conversation, you would be hearing a long sigh from me that lingers across the wires. This question is the paradox for which we all have the most trouble reconciling, from the smallest of infractions to the greatest of crimes.

Especially in light of recent news, it seems insensitive to say that everything is an illusion. We are beings hardwired to experience deep emotional and physical pain. Less loving beings prey on that. They repeatedly make the wrong choice -- in the illusion.

Yet our condemnation is another form of waging war and continues to perpetuate more horrific deeds. We are allowing the crimes in the ego's illusion to replace the essence of Spirit.

With the total evaporation of Love, we are faced only with life's atrocities -- causing a continual cycle that will not end until everyone sees things differently.

I invite you to watch a YouTube video on my channel.(it can be linked at the bottom of any picture post)

Scroll to almost the beginning and find "Man Who Forgives Murderer."

In the end, it is only Love that conquers because only Love is Real.

    1. Hi,

That's an excellent question but notice...you gave it an answer already -- you don't think the world will become perfect.

That thought of doubt is powerful and will contribute to the blocking of perfection.

There are many things going on with your question. The first thing -- when the mind transforms to see all things differently, all things will appear to be different.

That is a Truth of metaphysics.

The second thing -- whenever doubt is in the mind, even transformation cannot be complete. Therefore, how can it even be tested?

This study teaches one to put the cart behind the horse where it belongs. If we put the cart in front of the horse, how can we expect the same forward mobility towards the goal?
