Brandy, You're A Fine Girl
Love encompasses all and never asks us to make a choice, for loss of anyone or anything will wreck havoc on the mind.
And so unnfolds the story of Daphne's Web -- one man didn't understand the nature of
Love and left someone behind. He was the sailor in Olivia's
life, the brother of the Victorian's ghost, the cause of the family drama.
His mind was lost at sea.

You write well. I would like to know how u get from that point you described to the end? I mean, what's your secret?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteIf I'm understanding you correctly, I think you're asking how to write an unfolding drama.
I hesitate to claim any secret.
When an idea pops into my head, I begin writing. I become more observant of things around me, events and relationships.
I do feel the stress of making the pieces fit just right. An astute reader will know when something is off. The earlier ideas must line up with the ending.
As a writer, I love when the conclusion actually surprises me.

I don't understand how he is lost at sea if land is right there?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThat's a great question...
Do you have people in your life who are in turmoil when others around them are trying to help?
It's the same thing. He's not really lost at sea, but thinks he is.
The characters in Daphne's Web are lost at sea until they learn they can look at things another way, and that makes all the difference.

Is Brandy a character in the book?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteWithout giving away too much of the book, I will tell you there are layers of lovers, some who won, others who lost.
The deepest and most hidden layer is the basis for the story and although her name is not Brandy, there is a slight similarity to the song.
